No show

The buyer never turned up — what happens now?

Updated September 9, 2026

A no-show is reported by the seller, and only by the seller, on a deal where the money is still held and no problem has already been reported.

Reporting it starts a 24-hour window. The buyer is told straight away and can dispute it during that time. If they do, everything pauses and a person takes it from there.

If the 24 hours passes with no dispute, the no-show is confirmed: the buyer's hold is released, the item goes back on sale, and the buyer's record shows that they failed to appear.

Confirming a no-show does not pay the seller anything and does not charge the buyer anything. There is no penalty fee in either direction — the deal simply unwinds.

You cannot report a no-show while a problem is already open on the deal. That has to be resolved first.
