What does it cost to sell something?
Updated September 9, 2026
Two fees come out of a sale, in this order.
The platform takes 15% of the sale price first. On a $100 sale that is $15.00.
Card processing comes next: roughly 2.9% plus $0.30, which on a $100 sale is a little under $3. This one is the payment processor's fee rather than ours — it is what it costs to move the money — and the amount taken is whatever the processor actually charged on the payment, so the final figure can differ from an estimate by a few cents.
What is left is your cut: on a $100 sale, about $82. Anything you give to a cause comes out of your cut, never out of the platform's share.
There is no listing fee and nothing to pay up front. The fees only apply when an item actually sells.
These are the rates in force today. Both are set in the platform's own settings rather than written into the software, so if one changes, a sale is charged the rate in force when it settles.
One exception: a link-only listing, where you bring your own buyer instead of selling through the marketplace, pays 4% instead of 15% — the platform is providing the escrow, the scheduling and the chat rather than finding you a buyer.
The 15% and the 4% are settings that can be changed. The breakdown shown on your listing before you publish is produced by the same code that settles the sale, so it always reflects the current rate.
