Why am I being asked to verify my email?

Because that's where your receipts go, and every message about a deal, and any password reset. An address nobody has confirmed is all of that landing nowhere.

What you can do before verifying

Look around and set your account up. What waits on it is the part where money or a stranger is involved.

If it hasn't arrived

• Check spam. A first message to a brand new address lands there more often than not.
• Ask for another from the banner on your account.
• If you typed the address wrong, change it in your account and the new message goes to the new one.
