We signed up or unsubscribed, but we still get emails from Clutter Sale. Why?

Updated October 30, 2026

If you unsubscribed
Unsubscribing stops our emails at the address you unsubscribed and at the address we have for your charity. If an email reached you at a different address, use the unsubscribe link in that email too, or reply to it asking to be removed.

Receipts and account emails still arrive if you have an account with us; those aren't outreach.

If you signed up
Our follow-up emails stop when your charity's sign-up is approved and matched to us by its EIN. If you signed up under a different EIN from the one we wrote to, for example as a chapter of a larger organization, we can't match the two: reply to our email with the EIN you used and we will stop them by hand.

If you never asked for anything
Our emails go to charities from public records, because sellers can choose any 501(c)(3) as their cause. You haven't been signed up for anything. See "Why did our charity get an email from Clutter Sale?"

Still stuck? Reply to our email and a person will answer, or email support@clutter.sale. If your charity has an account, you can also open a ticket from Support at clutter.sale/support.
