How do we claim our charity's page and the money set aside for us?
Updated October 30, 2026
Your charity may already have a page on Clutter Sale that you didn't create, because a seller chose you. The page shows "Not Signed Up Yet", and the amount under "Saved for You" is your share of sales that is being held until you are set up.
What "money waiting" means
- It is your charity's share of real sales, held for you.
- It doesn't run out, and it doesn't run out when a claim link does.
- Once your charity is set up, everything held is sent to you automatically. You don't have to ask.
Two ways to claim
- Use the button in our email. It opens your charity's page on Clutter Sale.
- Or go to clutter.sale and sign up as a nonprofit with your EIN. The page and the money waiting are matched to you by EIN.
The steps
1. Sign in, or create an account.
2. Confirm your charity's EIN. We check it against the IRS records, the same check every charity here goes through.
3. Connect a bank account through Stripe. The Stripe account must be in your organization's name, with your EIN.
4. Once your charity is approved, everything saved for you is paid out.
How approval works is in "How does my nonprofit get approved?" and how payment works in "When and how does our charity get paid?"
If the page says something else
- "This Link Has Expired, but the Money Is Safe": press Email Us for a New Link.
- "This Organization Is Already on Clutter Sale": someone has already signed your charity up, and anything saved for it goes to the account they set up once it is approved. Sign in if that was you, or ask around your organization.
- "This Link Was Withdrawn, but the Money Is Safe" or "This Link Isn't Valid": email us, or sign up with your EIN instead.
