Connected apps
How do I disconnect an app or cancel its key?
Updated October 30, 2026
Disconnecting an app
On the web, open Connected Apps, find the app under Your Connections, and press Disconnect. Confirm with Disconnect, or press Keep Connection to change your mind.
In the Clutter Sale app: the You tab, then Connected Apps, then Revoke Access on the connection.
It stops working at once, and anything waiting for your approval will not run. What it already finished stays in your account, and a card authorization you already made for a purchase stays in place; that deal carries on as normal.
Allowing less without disconnecting
Press Edit Permissions, untick what you no longer want, and press Save Permissions. It takes effect straight away, and requests waiting under the old permissions stop working.
To pause an app without deleting it, press Remove All Permissions, then Save Permissions. Nothing works until you give it permissions again. Adding permissions back needs a recent sign-in. For an app you connected by signing in through Clutter, allowing more than you first allowed means connecting it again.
Replacing or cancelling a key
Press Details on the connection.
- Rotate Key gives you a new key, shown once, and the old one stops working. The connection's end date stays the same.
- Revoke Key stops that key now. The connection stays, and you can rotate it later to get a new key.
When a connection ends by itself
Every connection has an end date, chosen when it was made. After it, the app stops working. Create a new connection if you still want it.
