Connected apps
What can a connected AI app do for me, and what can't it do?
Updated October 30, 2026
It can only do the actions you ticked when you connected it, and only with your own account.
Look things up (straight away)
- Find listings and look at one.
- Find nonprofits.
- Answer questions from Clutter's help articles.
- See your own orders, listings, offers, donations, saved listings, conversations and support tickets.
- Open your donation receipts.
Private changes (straight away, and nobody else sees them)
- Save a listing, or remove one you saved.
- Write a private listing draft and upload its photos. Photos are checked like any listing photo, and the draft stays private until you approve publishing it.
Things that wait for your approval
Nothing other people would see happens until you approve the exact request in Clutter:
- Publishing a listing. The usual checks on the listing, its photos and you as a seller still apply.
- Sending a message in a conversation, to the person shown.
- Opening a support ticket, or replying to one.
- Proposing pickup dates. This never confirms a pickup or releases any money.

Buying something
An app can find a fixed-price item and prepare the purchase for you. It cannot pay. You review the item and the exact total, tax included, in Clutter, tick that you accept the terms, approve it, and then authorize your own card on Clutter's checkout. Your card details never go to the app. After that it is an ordinary purchase: your card is authorized at checkout and the deal completes through the normal pickup.
What it can't do
- Make or answer offers, or bid in auctions.
- Cancel a sale, open a dispute or refund anything. Cancellations and disputes go through the deal itself, as usual.
- Move money, or touch your payout or bank details.
- Confirm a pickup, or release payment to a seller.
- Change your account settings, delete your account, or sign in as you.
- See anybody else's private information.
