My AI app bought something for me. Was I charged?

Updated October 30, 2026

An app can't pay for anything. It can only prepare a purchase; you approve the exact total and authorize your own card on Clutter. Open the purchase from Requests & Drafts on Connected Apps to see where it stands.

What the status means
- Awaiting Your Approval: nothing has happened to your card. Approve or reject it.

- Continue Checkout: you approved it, but your card hasn't been authorized yet. Press Continue This Checkout to finish.

- Card Authorized — Awaiting Pickup: your card was authorized, exactly as if you had pressed Buy yourself. Arrange the pickup from Open Deal. See "When is the buyer actually charged?"

- Checking Purchase Outcome: press Refresh Status. Don't start a second purchase: the same checkout can't charge you twice.

If you didn't mean to buy it
Nothing is charged without your approval and your own card. If you did authorize it and want out, handle it from the deal as with any purchase. Disconnecting the app doesn't cancel a card authorization you already made.

Common messages
- "Prepare and approve a fresh purchase quote.": a quote lasts at most 10 minutes. Ask the app for a new one.

- "The listing changed. Request a fresh quote.": the price or details changed, so you need to approve the new total.

- "Review the total and accept the purchase terms.": tick "I accept these purchase terms and approve this exact total." before approving.

Still stuck? Open Support (clutter.sale/support, or Support in the app) and press Open a Ticket, or ask the assistant there first. If you can't sign in, email support@clutter.sale.
