What happens when we meet up to hand the item over?

At a meetup the seller takes a handoff photo at the spot as the item changes hands. That photo is what marks the handoff.

Once it is in, the buyer has 24 hours to accept or to report a problem. If neither happens the sale completes on its own, and the buyer is warned roughly four hours beforehand.

The buyer does not have to wait for the photo. Accepting is what settles a deal and it works at any point once the item is in hand.

If the scheduled day ends with no handoff photo and no acceptance, the deal is cancelled 12 hours later: the hold is released, the buyer is not charged, and the item goes back on sale. Both sides are warned a few hours before that happens, and either of them can still act — take the photo, accept the item, or agree a new day. Nobody is penalised when it cancels.

The handoff photo is handled exactly like a porch drop-off photo: stored privately, visible only to the two parties and to an admin reviewing a reported problem, with location recorded as evidence rather than as a block.
